Nose in a Book

Whether it’s funky and fun or shabby & pretty, I love the vintage look. My decorating style is vintage and so it’s not surprising that it’s where I turn when I’m stamping as well. This image is a Crafty Secrets stamp, paired with Bo Bunny Learning Curve papers, a Graphic 45 sticker, a CTMH background stamp and a Unity Stamp Co. sentiment. I like mixing brands – if I own the products and they fit what I’m doing, why not use it?

I taught my girls to read this year (I homeschool) and both have really taken off and are reading everything they can find. So annoying when my oldest uses reading to keep her old mum in line: “MOM! It says NO PARKING!” And it’s considered a treat to stop at the library after running errands in town. You should see the size of the bag we use to bring books home. I’m on a Jane Austen kick again, and the girls are reading Fancy Nancy and Berenstain Bears. They even occasionally agree to read a superhero reader to their 4 year old brother!

This weekend we’ll be packing some books and games for the kids and heading to the farmer’s market. I like to have a table there whenever I can – selling art, and cards, and baking. My granola bars have developed something of a reputation!
