If there is one thing I could pass on to my children above all else, it is to trust in the truth of God’s Word. My emotions and experiences colour how I see the world, and I don’t always feel close to God and I certainly don’t feel like I “get it” – life is complicated and we’re all broken in some way. But in believing the words of the Bible, I have a solid footing to stand on, no matter how I feel.
I stamped and embossed the words and heart image using clear embossing powder, and then painted the whole thing with glimmer mist. The embossed areas resist the paint and I love the effect! A little spatter finishes it off, and the whole thing is painted on watercolour paper so that the paint would flow and absorb the way it’s supposed to.
I’m linking up to Unity Stamp Co’s Friday Friends with Flair since these stamps are all from Unity – the heart is from the first kit of the month I ever received, back in August 2009. I used it when I made this card for the Unity Bachelor Bro challenge – remember that? Think that was in 2009, too! (The “faith, hope, love” stamps are from January 2010 KOM, Savor the Journey)
