I love to participate in the Moxie Fab World challenges, but I generally find my style is not as trendily eye-catching as the eventual challenge winners. I like my layers, what can I say? So you know I had to enter the Textured to Perfection challenge – layers and texture are my forte!

I had a new embossing folder I wanted to try – isn’t it pretty – but I didn’t have any white-core cardstock, so I made my own by inking cream cardstock with coral ink (Smoothie from Close to My Heart). I embossed the design and sanded away the high spots to reveal the cream below.

I wanted to do layers and texture without going overboard – the simple colour scheme of neutrals touched with coral allowed me to put a lot of layers on without having them compete with each other. Kind of in love with this card! I think that I’ll give it for a wedding – the verse (Unity Stamp Co. “Better Together” kit) is one of my favourites.
