We have the best time in Paper Therapy class! I started meeting with two groups of ladies about a year and a half ago, at my home once a month, and at my sister’s home near Chetwynd, BC, later in the month. I am proud to call the ladies in the classes my friends, and we always have some great laughs, while inspiring each other to create.
This month we worked with a large product pack from My Mind’s Eye, the older Abbey Road collection. It is an older collection, but the kit was jam packed with product (die cuts & chipboard and TONS of paper) and the patterns are beautiful! I had a fabulous time scrapping these spring photos of my dear children:
This layout was a very simple one to put together. I don’t work with black and white photos very often, but they stand out well against the patterned paper, and the colour photo on the right satisfies my need to “see” the colours in the photos.
I’m not sure if this one or the first layout is my favourite from this session. I really like the layout of this one, and I’m a sucker for white space, but the first one was such a fun blend of patterns! I love the texture in the actual layout – by mixing patterned paper, die cuts and then bulkier chipboard (and a little foam tape on the title), I was able to keep lots of dimension in a relatively flat layout.
Paper Therapy club takes a break for the summer, but I have great things planned for September! If you’re in the BC Peace region and want to join our fall classes, email me ang at angelafehr dot com and I’ll send you the details!
