Thursday and Friday were busy days in our house. My kids took baking orders to raise money for charity and we worked hard to fill them for two days. 20 dozen cookies and 8 pans of squares later, they had raised over $200 to give to Gospel for Asia.
I’m proud of them. They worked hard, and it cost them something to give so generously. It was a good reminder to me that giving shouldn’t always be easy.
As the year ends I’ll be looking at my own giving. As you may remember, this year I’m giving 10% of every painting sold to support widows and children in Asia. It’s almost time to total up my painting sales for the year and send that cheque away. If you’ve been considering buying a painting, now is a good time.
