In autumn we get a short burst of glory before winter’s grey-brown barrenness. I see a parallel in life, how passion’s flare is so brief, and pain can feel so long. Yet there is beauty in both, and the remembrance of past joys can bring hope for future ones.
“Glorious” is a burst of passion from my brush, a celebration of colour and texture in an exaggeration of fall’s glorious colours and the ability we have to feel joy so intensely that the colour stays with us long after the emotion has faded. I want to hold onto the memories of those beautiful moments, to let them ring in my heart with a echo, again…again…so much goodness to remember, so much more yet to come…
“Glorious” measures 11″ x 11″, watercolour mounted on panel. Ships insured.
