Join internationally known watercolour instructor, Angela Fehr, for a two day watercolour workshop, August 10-11, 2017, aimed at helping you paint more confidently and develop your personal style.
About Your Instructor:
Though her watercolour students come from all over the world, Angela Fehr calls smalltown northern Canada home, living on an acreage near Dawson Creek, British Columbia. As a watercolour painter, Angela found an audience for her clear, encouraging painting tutorials, first on Youtube in 2011, and then through an online school (http://learn.angelafehr.com) guiding over 8,000 students in developing their watercolour skills.
Angela’s painting style can be described as loose and expressive, full of vibrant colour and joyous emotion, believing that shining a light on the beauty in the world is a powerful way to fight against darkness and bring hope.
Angela’s classes emphasize the need to trust the process; that every student can become skilled in technique, while developing a personal style that truly expresses the artist within. The message of staying encouraged while learning an often difficult medium is equally as important as the techniques and tutorials demonstrated in each lesson.
Day 1: Exploring the Landscape in Watercolour
Using local scenes to inspire, Angela will walk the class through her process of developing a landscape painting that is evocative and expressive, using value studies and development exercises to “work through” a painting in several sketches before creating a confident final interpretation.
Day 2: Vibrant Loose Florals in Watercolour
Friday’s workshop will focus on painting florals that are vibrant and intuitive, while developing an understanding of the compositional “bones” that build a strong painting.
