Express your creative voice in a 2 day watercolour workshop with Angela Fehr in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. During the workshop we’ll be focusing on using watercolour more intuitively, experimenting with new ways of using watercolour techniques to paint expressively and from the heart with the goal of developing your personal style. You can become your own favourite artist!
What to expect:
This workshop assumes a basic understanding of watercolour techniques. We’ll be focusing on learning to make good decisions to develop your paintings in your own personal style. The small class size means you can ask questions and receive personal instruction during independent painting sessions.
Starting each session with a warm up, we’ll move into studying reference photos to learn how to use them as a guide for self-expression, simplifying the scene down to what we really want to share in our paintings. We’ll explore abstraction and floral painting, sample a variety of paint colours and discuss strategies for staying encouraged when painting doesn’t seem to be resulting in “successful” paintings. I’m most energized when I’m motivating students to trust their ability to share their inner selves through their art, and I can’t wait to work with you!
