You know the basics and you’re ready to level-up your watercolor skills or push through some creative block…
You’re in the right place!
We have so much to offer you!
You understand the basic techniques, and want to take the next step to develop an individual watercolour style. The problem is, you feel like you have no idea how to start.
Intermediate and advanced watercolor artists need to be allowed to experiment, to play and to find their own artistic voices. I encourage all of my mid- and upper-level students to be heart-led in their approach to subject matter and style. I want you to paint like you, not like me.
In the twenty-five years that I’ve been painting in watercolor, I am more convinced than ever that mindset is as important as technique and artistic principles. To that end, I have designed my courses so that we spend plenty of time talking about mindset, experimenting with new techniques and making sure you are well grounded in the artistic ‘rules’ so that you feel free to break them as you find your style.
The right Mindset
How you think about the creative process is the most important thing you bring to your artwork. In this free series of emails, I share insights to help you confront your fears and doubt and choose a mindset that is free, powerful and courageous. Painting from your heart is possible and you can love every step of your artistic journey.

Choose a course that speaks to what you love to paint:
If you enjoy florals try my Color Drenched Florals course.
Heart Led Landscapes focuses on strong artistic principles while encouraging you to paint what’s in your heart.
If you want to practice painting more loosely, try my Loose & Fluid Bundle, which will take you through the process of trying to paint exactly what you see toward a softer and more gentle technique of softening edges, etc.
Looking for a course to help you really master this medium? We've got you covered!
If you’re ready to step out of your comfort zone, it’s time for my Watercolor Mastery Foundations course and then my year long Watercolor Mastery Expansions course.
These courses are designed to help you address profound issues of mindset, solidify your knowledge of the basic principles of value, composition and color, while encouraging you to experiment, try new techniques, tools and products and learn to become independent in your thinking. This is where you practice expressing your own style. I will teach you how to become your own best guide and instructor, and guide you through principles used by professional artists to develop their skills and evaluate their work.
These courses are only taught as an interactive experience that includes free access to my Heart-Led Artist Community, a very active private discussion group as well as live bonus lessons, in addition to the Mastery course material (which you get lifetime access to). Sign up for the waitlist HERE.

What previous students are saying…
“As an artist who approached this course with moderate technical skills, but a little lost in the myriad of possibilities of where I could take my work, I found tools in Angela’s lessons to navigate that world and make my own decisions to improve my art. Think of this course as teaching you how to use a compass and map that are custom calibrated to you and your art. The class is so dynamic since the projects are pretty much limitless, they can be as open-ended as you want to make them and the more you put into them, the more you learn and get back in return.”
“She isn’t just an instructor in fundamentals and intermediate skills in painting. She goes much deeper than that. Mindset is so key to success. Many creative folks don’t understand that you have to believe in yourself to succeed. She could easily be a “life” coach!”
“My lack of confidence in my own ability was my biggest obstacle. With Angela’s generous sharing of her own tool box of strategies, I was able to move past the fear of failure...The feature I liked best about the course was that everyone was celebrated at their own pace and style. The safety in sharing your work in this safe space was so encouraging and freeing to be your own favorite artist.”
“My painting has blossomed by light years. My confidence has soared. Equally important as the instruction was the feedback I received from my instructor and from my fellow students. The Mastery course focused on key principles —touchstones to follow as I begin to paint what I see and love. I loved the content and its organizations-and the demonstrations. Excellent filming and clear explanations. I also loved the Discussion page. Angela Fehr is clear, concise, welcoming, generous, supportive and organized. Her enthusiasm and passion for painting, nature and watercolours is probably what stands out most to me. Her teaching style is fluid —perfect for the watercolour medium! She includes tips in her narratives and everything flows! Angela truly cares about her students and it shows in everything—from the design of her lessons to her comments on our work to her emails. She wants us to learn and to share her joy in watercolour. (Watercolour Mastery) kick-started my watercolour journey. Everyone was so supportive and the message is that no matter where you are on your journey, you can pick up what you’re ready for in the course and perhaps other things might sit for a while until you’re ready for them. The principles that the course is designed around —colours, values, design, etc—are essentials and inform all art. The course introduces and reinforces those basic principles throughout so they stick with you! An excellent approach!”
