Thanks for joining the workshop! I’m so glad we had the opportunity to meet in person and paint together!

My gift to you:

As you continue on your artistic journey, I want to encourage you to continue to seek out artistic relationships that encourage and inspire you. One way to do that is to continue to learn with me online. The Heart-Led Artist’s Journey is where I share my own process and growth in an online mentorship that is designed to help artists find their own freedom and voice…in essence, a guide for you in becoming your own favourite artist.

As a thank you for joining the workshop, here's a coupon code for you to use for the first month free in the Heart-Led Journey subscription (valued at $34): First Month Free

The coupon should be automatically applied when you click the link above, but here is the coupon code just in case: workshop-gift

Books & Resources

Plein Air: Marc Taro Holmes’ books on plein air painting are favourites of mine: The Urban Sketcher offers a guide to drawing on location that is very approachable.

And if you want to feel deeply empowered and free to sketch your way, you can’t go wrong with Felix Scheinberger’s book Dare to Sketch.

Artists:

When we talk about painting light, dark and middle values, I love to recommend Andy Evansen. He has a great video demonstration of his unique process for painting values here: VIDEO

Are you ready for the next adventure?

I love seeing familiar faces when I travel to teach workshops! You’re invited to join me on another painting experience - take a look at my current workshop calendar here.

Supply Guide:

Some of the supplies we used have discount codes you can use to order and save. Find this information below.
I get a small commission when you order using these affiliate links. Thank you!

Rockwell Watercolors, use code Angela01 to save 10% on a minimum order of $60. I love the Magic set (particularly Magic Wizard, Obsidian Brown, Lapis Brown, Onat Diamond Yellow and Morai Witch) Please note that if your shipping seems high, send them an email and ask before you order! Sometimes their site calculates shipping incorrectly.

Lebenzon Brushes, get a discount by using code ANGELA. My favourite brush is the 1.5 inch medium or large goat/synthetic wangi brush which you may have seen me use during the workshop. It’s my “magic wand” for creating fine lines and the shape of this brush means it holds a lot of paint!

Steve Puttrich designed the Fairview Finder to help plein air painters compose stronger paintings. You can order your own Fairview Finder here: https://www.fairviewfinder.com/

The little white ink pen with the brush tip is the Kuretake Zig Cartoonist White Brush Pen. Found here at Blick Art Materials: LINK
