What Next?

I picked up a 12"x12" canvas from the art gallery to paint for their September fundraiser. Last year you may remember, I made this:

I later met the woman who won it in the silent auction and she was so sweetly thrilled with it - that was a real boost!

I'm halfway tempted to enter my mixed media dahlia canvas - it's the right size and already completed - no, I'm actually still debating whether it's completed or not. All the mid-tones seem to be competing and I want to lighten the background a bit.

So what I think I'm going to do is take a watercolour painting and use it as my inspiration for a mixed media piece. I'm thinking something autumn-y, like my Golden Tangle painting:

I've got a pile of Golden Fluid Acrylics and Faber-Castell Gelatos and an itch to paint. See you on Monday!
